Canyoneering with Pioneer High School

Facing challenging weather with rain, lighting and thunder, these Pioneer High School students rose to the occasion and engaged in a four-day leadership retreat with Project Discovery. The canyon beckoned with cliff jumps, rock climbing, swimming and rappelling along with debriefings on how what they had learned might be applied to their lives and education. All in all a difficult expedition with lots of lessons learned and friendships made!

An MLK quote will serve us well with the biggest lesson learned on this expedition:

“All life is interrelated. We are all caught up in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one destiny, effects all indirectly.
