Ultimate Adventure Camp

Campers are sure to be challenged on exciting outdoor adventures with their team as they explore a riveting canyon in the Lost Sierra together!

The High Adventure Camp begins with a high-octane day at one of the largest and most challenging ropes challenge courses in the country.  Participants in this camp will have an opportunity to face some of the more challenging obstacles at Project Discovery. After a night spent in a traditional Sioux tipi swapping stories and getting to know each other a little better, the team will set out for a canyoneering adventure in the Lost Sierra North of Lake Tahoe.

The canyoneering adventure includes water slides, rock climbing, rappelling, cliff-jumping, bouldering, caving and swimming and is guaranteed to provide participants with the adventure of a lifetime!

In addition, outdoor leadership, team work, environmental education, outdoor cookery and risk management will be key aspects of the Ultimate Adventure Camp.

Note:
The canyoneering portion of this camp is an intense adventure
experience where swimming, climbing, rappelling, and cliff jumping
are
mandatory for
all campers! Please be sure your child can handle these experiences
before signing them up.

We provide all group gear and food with the exception of breakfast and lunch on the first day. Backpacks, sleeping bags and pads can be rented for a small fee.

All Project Discovery Camps not only provide campers a great adventure in the local Tahoe area but also focus on helping students find and celebrate their own leadership strengths, both as individuals and as team members. All camp weeks end with an appreciation circle celebrating each camper’s accomplishments and growth during the week. Program goals include improving leadership skills, responsibility, self-confidence, communication skills and of course, the making of new friendships. Our overarching goal is to help children discover their strengths, work on their weaknesses and make new friends under the blue skies of a Sierra summer.
