And so it was that the ski season ended on a high note for the Pioneer Ski Team at Squaw Valley. In a three way partnership with Ski Ducks, Project Discovery and Squaw Valley, the team shared some great moments on the mountain learning about themselves, their team mates and Mother Nature herself. Overcoming fear, embracing challenge and support from others were the themes winding through the season and I can honestly say, everyone in this program learned something important about themselves, about each other and about life in general. Every one of these students are Pioneers in the truest sense of the word!
