Mark Helleckson and Sky Tavern Junior Ski Program has come to Project Discovery’s rescue as the 2019 Snowfest continues into mid-May. The ski program has allowed us use of heavy equipment to clear our way into the course and then loaned us a snowcat to move tons and tons of snow so that we can run our zip line and other elements. The sheer depth and amount of snow in the course this spring has shattered all previous records in course history. The crazy thing: more snow is forecast this week as a Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Sierra. Although the weather is inconsistent our backs are not: they are sore and do not want to see a shovel again for a long long time.
