A new record was set by the PHS Ski Team last week with over 60% of the team able to ski down the Mountain Run at Squaw Valley. Using their mentoring skills fellow students and faculty coached lesser skilled team members up to the point where they could take on the challenging slope which runs from top of Squaw Valley down many miles to the bottom.
Students were proud of their accomplishments and should be. This year’s team members have really pushed themselves to get up just one more time than they got knocked down. And if that isn’t the secret to success. I don’t know what is.
