Enjoyed one of the best days of the summer yesterday helping empower the young women of the Girl Scouts of Northern Nevada face their fears, bust through them and come out the other side feeling proud and empowered. These young ladies pushed themselves hard to conquer their fears and pushed through tears and fears to climb high and then rappel. Supportive, strong and energetic is how I would describe these scouts and their faces should be on the front of every cookie box sold. These girls embody the whole idea of growing strong and understanding that the world needs strong leaders like they are working hard at becoming.
I was proud of each and every one of them and glad Project Discovery could play a role in their journey to make the world a better place for their being in it. Thank goodness the GSNN is here in Reno providing amazing programs like this one. After yesterday I have more hope for the future with these young ladies leading the way!
