We invited teachers from all over Northern Nevada and California to participate in our first ever Education Day at Project Discovery’s challenge course. The free event was geared for teachers and administrators to learn how our program is like no other program around.
While most of us woke up to heavy rain this morning, some brave teachers from Washoe County schools took a chance and came up anyways. What they found was that the rainbow ended at Project Discovery. By our 8:30 start time the rain was done, and a brisk wind just added to the challenge.
It was a totally awesome day for all, with fears conquered, limits tested and new friendships established. We’re super excited to be partnering with these schools during the next school year!
These pics were from Mark’s camera. More should be forthcoming from Mike…
What an incredibly awesome day! You may notice that many of the photos of us ladies have very big smiles in them. The challenges we had were great. The difficulties were different for everyone. However even though there were times some of us thought we were not going to succeed, the smiles were still there.
I want to thank Mark, Mike and Noah, not only for the invitations that enabled me to have this fabulous experience but for being such wonderful hosts and support for all of us. I am grateful for every facet of this day and the wonderful team of ladies I met and had the privilege to share all the fun with.
This was a day I will never forget and will bring a huge smile every time I think of it.
