Most every year Pioneer High School enjoys a Leadership Retreat in the spring. This year was no different with the exception of more snow than we have ever seen for the first of May. This is the first time in 20 years we had to actually procure lodging as there was 7 feet of snow in the course which precluded tipi set up and camping. However, every student rose to the occasion and the retreat was a complete success with many indoor activities as well as outdoors. This cadre of students were superlative in their performance in every way and learned the value of good judgment, decision-making, support and understanding of others and the importance of struggling toward solutions when problem solving. One of the best groups I have had the pleasure of working with in my 20 years experience with this school.
