Project Discovery has partnered with the Nevada State Office of the BLM to provide team and leadership training to many key members of their staff over the month of October. Nevada has the largest amount of land under BLM stewardship, so this office has a tremendous responsibility in fulfilling the BLM’s mission: “sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the multiple use and enjoyment of present and future generations.” Our goal is to enhance communication and collaboration within and between departments in a way that leads their teams to serve the public even more effectively.
Each team has arrived with an amazing dedication to the BLM’s mission and we are able to use that as the foundation for emphasizing their common goals while they take on very challenging exercises to let them experience how enhanced communication and teaming skills can lead to higher performance. We are so privileged to work with such terrific people who are so focused on serving the public.
