It was an honor to work with students from Lyon County’s GEAR UP program at the Project Discovery ropes course this week. The GEAR UP program offers students in 10th and 11th grade support in making plans for a stronger future through academic counseling, career exploration and field opportunities. As usual, we ran their program from midday through the evening, which offered a bit of respite from the heat as the sun went behind the mountains. It’s truly a treat for us to work with these kids and the dedicated GEAR UP staff each year. Here’s a selection of photos from the day:
