The Pioneer Ski Team enjoyed great challenges at the Squaw Valley Ski Area yesterday. Team members mentored one another and enjoyed the team spirit of helping those who had never skied before or those just needing tips to keep improving the way they ski. Students worked in small groups with their coaches to learn that it’s not how many times you fall but how many times you get back up that matter. Parallels were made between skiing and academics and staying in school and the importance of preparing (with the help of Pioneer High School) for a “Good Life.” Kristen’s birthday was also celebrated with a cake and candles at High Camp. Happy Birthday Kristin!
