The weather was not too cooperative with 100 mph winds on the summit and 50 mph down on the course, but none of that mattered, The more you throw at a good team, the better they get. I am honored and proud to have all the folks who showed up for our spring training today. A lot of training protocol was covered and shared. New friendships were formed and some new challenges were overcome. For example, Michael from CSU Chico is the new holder of the small pipe Pipemare Traverse record with a healthy 250 lbs of muscle being squeezed through that little pipe. Of course, it was the team that was able to step on the tube and get the toothpaste out! Another hero of the day was Mark 2.0 who really really really didn’t want to go out on the Sky Surfer when the boards were flying wickedly heater-skelter… but after a few minutes of consideration went out to help Peter, his team mate. You Rock Mark!
After training today I am confident that Project Discovery (and hopefully the rest of the world) will have a productive and amazing season. Welcome to all! For those that missed it… we missed you too! The BBQ and Beer weren’t too bad either as well as the brie cheese Mark 1.0 bestowed upon the team bringing us some international class-unusual for these parts. Thanks everyone for a GREAT day!
Mike
