Our first week of Rocks, Ropes and Boats is now complete and it was awesome as always. Contrary to last year’s battle with the rains, we had perfect weather every day this week. We started with two days at the Project Discovery ropes challenge course building trust and building new friendships. Midweek, we got out the kayaks and headed for some on the water fun on Tahoe. Thursday our campers rose to the challenge of the Mount Rose climb. We finished off the week with some rock climbing and more swimming.
The Rocks, Ropes and Boats camps are a part of Tahoe Adventure Camps, which is a partnership between Project Discovery, Move Mountains and Lake Tahoe School. Camps are open to students in grades 1-8 from all over. We had campers this week from as far away as Mississippi and Connecticut. There’s still a few spots open for Session Two next week for kids from the Reno area.
Here’s the best of the photos from Mark’s camera. Mike’s pictures should be added shortly.
