“So much fun” was the tagline of the day for the inaugural ropes course for the 2018 season the Project Discovery ropes course. The 2 inches of new snow and temperatures starting at 29° did not deter the sixty Bureau of Land Management fire crew leaders from having an awesome time pushing their teams to new limits. The challenges included not only facing the normal fear of heights – we also threw in a lot of blindfolds, tight confined spaces and dragged a few participants through the mud. At the end of the day, it was smiles all around as participants marked their accomplishments, including the setting of several course records.
With the Nevada fire season just around the corner, we look forward to working with 3 more Bureau of Land Management teams during the month of May. Project Discovery salutes the hard work that they all put into protecting each of us from wildfires.
