*NEW* Adventure and Arts Summer Camp

Adventure and Arts Camp

This new camp will satisfy the adventurous and the artsy camper from ages 7 to 12. Uniting these two approaches will bring campers the best of both worlds. Utilizing one of the largest Ropes Challenge Courses in the nation as our base and with the addition of the Sierra Nevada Mountains surrounding camp will allow for big adventures colored by a unique and dynamic Arts Program. Campers will be exposed to and practice Watercolor, Sketch, Native American Beading, Face-Painting, Sandpainting and primitive musical arts.

After a week of art mixed with high adventure, (swimming, hiking and a Tyrolean Traverse across Galena Creek) campers will face a final art challenge by creating a group art project which will be shown to parents upon pick-up Friday afternoon and be proudly displayed over the next eight weeks of summer camp.

Note: This is a day camp. All campers will be dropped off and picked up each day.

All Project Discovery Camps not only provide campers a great adventure in the Northern Sierras area but also focus on helping students find and celebrate their own leadership strengths, both as individuals and as team members. All camp weeks end with an appreciation circle celebrating each camper’s accomplishments and growth during the week. Program goals include improving leadership skills, responsibility, self-confidence, communication skills and of course, the making of new friendships. Our overarching goal is to help children discover their strengths, work on their weaknesses and make new friends under the blue skies of a Sierra summer.
