We were honored with a visit last week from the University of Nevada, Reno Women’s Swim and Dive Team. These girls came, kicked butt and didn’t take “NO” for an answer. Case in point: the only group I know of in course history to all complete the High Wye. And, if that wasn’t enough, the only group to send a lone climber to complete the element after one of our staff (who was partnering with the odd numbered group) came off the element unexpectedly. You heard me right, this hero made it to the tree all by herself… well, not exactly all by herself since the ground crew was cheering up a storm and supporting her in attempting what looked to be impossible without the help of a partner.
It was pure pleasure watching these athletes push themselves as far as they did. Kudos to the coaching staff for making good things happen for this team. Nice work!
