Celebrated the first course of the season on 6 feet of snow with the Bureau of Land Management Honor Guard. These are the men and women who present the flag to the survivors in the event at a fatality of a wild land fire fighter.
I have to say after 16 years in business this was far and away the best first course I have ever had the privilege of facilitating. These are the best of the best who dedicate their lives to not long fighting fires but assisting and supporting those survivors after a fire takes their loved one. It was both a privilege and an honor to work with this team and they definitely fit the description of the “Best of the Best.” Made me proud to be an American which hasn’t come that easy lately.
