Rappelling and Rollin Down the River

Stand By Me. This group was taken right out of the film with kids that bonded like family and laughed their way through the week with hi-jinx and the joy of being a wild group in a wild place. I haven’t laughed much with participants in years… this was a very funny and wonderful group! I am sure long lasting friendships will grow out of this adventure!

River Camp participants shared a wonderful week together by pushing their limits opening with a Teamwork Day punctuated by an adventurous Midnight Swim with glow lights in the Feather River. The next day was an arduous one that involved getting everyone and their respective loads up the boulder choked river to base camp. Wednesday was filled with big adventures exploring a Yosemite like mini-canyon including lots of rappelling, zip lining, cliff jumping and lots of swimming. Thursday was an exploration of the lower part of the canyon marked with large rappels, waterfall climbing and sliding and epic swimming holes. Friday was one of appreciation of their new found skills and friendships, a stop for ice cream and the trip home to feather beds, hot showers and loving families!
