A Turn Of The Seasons At Project Discovery

Just up the road from Project Discovery, Mount Rose spun a ski lift today, representing their earliest opening on record. When the ski season gets going, we start thinking just a bit more about skiing. Today, Mike and Mark, chose skiing first, then to work at the ropes course later.

Before the snow really starts to fly, we have to take down our tipis used for inclement weather and overnight groups. There’s not many places to work where you can put “tipi construction” on your resume! After doing about 25 laps on The Wizard, we headed to the course to take down the big tipi. It’s normally a job that we undertake with a team of 4 to 6 people. Today, we were a team of two. Fortunately we used our skills of planning, communication and coordination to bring the tipi down – all with nobody being clobbered by a 25 foot long pole.

The leaves are turning beautiful shades of yellow and orange at the course and we encourage you to make your last minute fall booking ASAP, before the snow flies and buries our low course. Tomorrow, Mike and Mark will work with the Kaia Fit group, then go skiing later in the day. We can’t wait…for both.
