Project Discovery is proud to be offering three weeks of summer adventure camps for 2018. As the ski resorts begin to talk about closing, we all start looking forward to our summer camp programs. We’ll be keeping our camp groups small this year, and that means that spaces will fill fast! Some of our camps are nearing half full. Here’s a summary of our offerings:
• The Rocks, Ropes and Boats camps have been the core of our summer camp program for 8 seasons. This day camp is offered for kids from ages 7-13. Over five days, you child will experience low and high ropes course challenges, rock climbing, hiking and a boat building challenge on Tahoe. More importantly, they will develop self confidence, leadership skills and friendships that will last a lifetime. Two sessions of camp will be offered: July 9-13 and July 16-20. • The High Adventure Camp is returning for summer of 2018. This overnight camp is offered for teens ages 13-17. The five day camp includes two days at the Project Discovery ropes course to build confidence and leadership skills. This will be followed by a 3 day canyoneering adventure in the Northern Sierra, weather and conditions permitting. This camp is designed for teens that have experience with adventure activities like backpacking and rock climbing. One session of camp will be offered from July 23-27.
